Relationship Biblical Boundaries: Jesus is More than Enough

I have been taking counseling sessions the last month. It has been very insightful and I’m on a path to healing my soul, or should I say, the Lord is healing my soul. Many of you know that I was sexually abused as a child. Well, this truth had been hunting me some weeks ago. Satan began to draw my past out by placing lies on my head to the degree that I asked God to just take my life. I felt like a little girl cornered in a very dark room, where crows pecked my head, piercing my flesh to only eat my brain out. I know this sounds […]

Kingdom Colonizers

While some people fail to answer the calling of God, others have not only answered it, but strive night and day to over come the struggles in the mist of building the ministry the Lord has entrusting to them. Our Relationship: The Wheaton Essay

The Bible, God’s Holy Scripture has changed my life. In specific Psalm Seventy-Seven, continuously shows me my imperfections and reveals to me my creator’s perfect sovereignty. Three things I have observed in this Psalm; first, my human rage against a Holy God. Second, remembering God’s amazing deeds takes me back to a humble worship. Lastly, trembling before a Holy God in repentance, binds me deeper to him in trust. Photograph by Ana Barajas My human rage against a Holy God is reflected back to me in Psalm Seventy-Seven. It begins with the poetic words of Asaph, one of Israel’s rulers. He calls upon his God, his creator, “I will cry out […]

Showers in a City

Why did you sent me to a sinful city where I fell In love with its people; only to leave empty handed? What was I supposed to learn from this? Did anyone else benefit from my story? Did I make you proud to call me your daughter? Did I do what you sent me out to do? I thought you took me there to set a flag of victory, but I left empty handed? Did I at least bring you honor? Photograph by Ana Barajas I feel I waisted time and emotions. I feel I lost treasures and so much strength. Did I plant anything of value for you? Did […]
